Central European Lakes Tour

1° Day : Munich

Arrival at Munich Airport and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

2° Day : Munich/Lake Constance/Rhine Falls/Lucerne

Breakfast in hotel and departure for Lake Constance, Europe's third largest lake and on the border between Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Stop at Lindau to visit the town, situated on an island linked to the mainland by two bridges. Lunch in a restaurant and then continuing along the shores of the lake to Schaffhausen, close to which the spectacular Rhine Falls can admired, the largest in Europe with a width of 150 metres and a height of 23 metres. Transfer to Lucerne for hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

3° Day : Lucerne/Lake Lucerne

Breakfast in hotel. Visit in the morning to the city centre, including the famous mediaeval Kapellbrücke bridge, built entirely in wood, and the old houses lining the squares of the old town. Lunch in a restaurant. Boat trip in the afternoon on Lake Lucerne, only Switzerland's third largest in size but with the most varying panoramas. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

4° Day : Lucerne/Lake Geneva/Annecy

Breakfast in hotel. Departure for Lake Geneva, the largest in Switzerland and situated on the border between Switzerland and Franc. Visit in the morning to Montreux, a delightful French town famous for its strong links with the world of music and for its jazz festival. Lunch in Lausanne. The tour continues in the afternoon along the shores of the lake to Geneva, sometimes called the “Capital of Peace”, because it hosts the European headquarters of the UNO and of several other international organizations, including the Red Cross. Short visit to the city, rich in culture and history, and then continuing for Annecy. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

5° Day : Annecy/Lake Maggiore

Breakfast in hotel. Visit in the morning to the centre of Annecy, criss-crossed by several canals, and the château dominating the city, offering a splendid view over Annecy and the lake on which it stands. Departure for Lake Maggiore, one of Italy's most beautiful and the largest of the Southern Alps. Lunch along the way, with arrival at Lake Maggiore in the afternoon. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

6° Day : Lake Maggiore

Guided visit in morning to western shore of Lake Maggiore, Stresa and Villa Taranto, with its vast botanic gardens. Lunch in hotel. Guided visit in afternoon to Lake Orta, with boat trip to the enchanting San Giulio Island. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

7° Day : Lake Maggiore

Full-day guided trip to Borremean Islands, with transfers by boat and lunch in restaurant with fish caught in the lake. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

8° Day : Lake Como/Lake Garda

Departure after breakfast for Lake Como. Local guide for visit to the town of Como or Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo. Stop for lunch at restaurant. Lake crossing to Bellagio and free time for visit to this delightful town, then continuing to Lake Garda for overnight stay in a hotel in the southern part of the lake.

9° Day : Lake Garda

Meeting with courier after breakfast and visit to Lake Garda, stopping along the route to visit the many attractions of the western shore, like Sirmione, Manerba, Salò, Gardone with the famous Vittoriale Villa and Limone. Lunch at Riva del Garda and return in afternoon along eastern shore, with visit to production area of famous “Bardolino” wine, complete with tasting. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

10° Day : Lake Garda / Venice / Ljubljana

Breakfast in hotel and departure for Venice. Arrival by coach at Punta Sabbioni and then by private boat to St Mark's Square. After meeting the guide, a visit to the square, one of the world's most famous, with its beautiful basilica, and then continuing with the Bridge of Sighs, the Campanile, the Clock Tower and the outside of the Doge's Palace. Lunch in a restaurant and departure in the afternoon for Ljubljana. Arrival in the late afternoon for hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

11° Day : Ljubljana / Lake Bled / Munich

Breakfast in hotel and visit to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, a small and romantic city offering picturesque views and an interesting centre featuring Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture. Lunch in a restaurant and departure in the afternoon for Munich, stopping at Lake Bled, known as the “Pearl of the Alps”, for a visit to its green island with a church and its mediaeval castle from the 11th century, perched on a rocky outcrop above the lake. Arrival in Munich in the late afternoon for hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

12° Day : Munich Departure

Breakfast in hotel and transfer to airport. End of our services.
